Particle-wave duality is a concept in quantum mechanics stating that every particle or quantum entity can be partly described not only as particles but also as waves.
Imagine if you were at a costume party and could switch between being two different characters - say Batman and Superman. Sometimes you're Batman (particle), sometimes you're Superman (wave). That's kind of what particle-wave duality is like for tiny things like electrons!
Quantum Mechanics: A branch of physics dealing with physical phenomena at microscopic scales where action is quantized through discrete values rather than continuous ones.
Photon: A type of elementary particle that represents quantum units of light or other electromagnetic radiation.
Electron Cloud Model: A model describing electrons as existing within clouds around an atom's nucleus instead of moving along defined orbits.
