A molecule is the smallest unit of a substance that retains all the physical and chemical properties of that substance. It consists of two or more atoms bonded together.
Consider molecules as words. Just like letters combine to form different words, atoms combine to form different molecules.
Compound: A substance formed when two or more elements chemically bond together.
Covalent Bonding: The sharing of electron pairs between atoms to form a molecule.
Molecular Formula: Represents the number and type of atoms present in one molecule.
