Michaelis–Menten Kinetics

from class:

AP Chemistry

Definition

Michaelis-Menten kinetics describe how enzyme-catalyzed reactions vary with substrate concentration, showing that reaction velocity increases with increasing substrate until it reaches maximum speed when all enzymes are occupied - this point is called Vmax.

congrats on reading the definition of Michaelis–Menten Kinetics. now let's actually learn it.

ok, let's learn stuff
