Definition

Intramolecular bonds are forces that hold atoms together within molecules. They include covalent bonds, ionic bonds, and metallic bonds.

Analogy

Consider intramolecular bonds as friendships within a tight-knit group. Just like how friends (atoms) in a group (molecule) are held together by shared interests and experiences (bonds), atoms within a molecule are held together by sharing or transferring electrons.
