Definition

Heat conduction is the process where heat flows within an object or between objects due to their physical contact and difference in temperature.

Analogy

Consider heat conduction like spreading butter on toast. When you spread warm butter on toast, it melts and spreads evenly across your slice - just like how heat spreads from warmer areas to cooler ones!
