Galvanic cells convert chemical energy into electrical energy through redox reactions.
Think of a galvanic cell as a battery-powered toy car. The chemical energy (like the batteries in the toy car) is converted into electrical energy, which powers the toy car to move around.
Electrolyte: A substance that produces an electrically conducting solution when dissolved in water. It's like the road on which our toy car (the galvanic cell) runs.
Salt Bridge: This is a laboratory device used to connect the oxidation and reduction half-cells of a galvanic cell. It's like the bridge that connects two parts of a city, allowing traffic (or ions) to flow between them.
Voltage: The force that pushes electrical energy through a circuit, much like how gas propels your real car forward. In our analogy, it's what makes our toy car move!
