Acidity

Definition

Acidity refers to how much acid is present in a substance, or its ability to donate protons (H+ ions).

Analogy

Imagine you're at a party where everyone loves sour candies - those are your H+ ions. The more sour candies you bring to share (donate), the more popular (acidic) you become!
