Symmetry

Definition

Symmetry refers to a balanced arrangement of parts or elements that are identical or similar. In mathematics, symmetry is the property of a shape, function, or equation that remains unchanged when certain transformations are applied.

Analogy

Think of a perfectly symmetrical face where both sides are mirror images of each other. Similarly, in math, symmetry is like folding a shape or graph in half and seeing if both sides match up.
