Definition
Integral rules are formulas or techniques used to evaluate definite and indefinite integrals. They provide shortcuts for finding antiderivatives or calculating areas under curves without having to resort to basic integration from scratch.
The power rule states that if f(x) = x^n, where n is any real number except -1, then the derivative of f(x) with respect to x is f'(x) = nx^(n-1). This rule can be applied in reverse when evaluating indefinite integrals.
The chain rule allows us to find the derivative of composite functions. It also has an inverse relationship when integrating certain composite functions.
Trigonometric Integrals: Trigonometric integrals involve integrating functions containing trigonometric expressions such as sine, cosine, tangent, etc. These require specific techniques or trigonometric identities for evaluation.
