Harmonic Series

Definition

The harmonic series is an infinite series formed by adding reciprocals of positive integers, starting from 1.

Imagine you are climbing up stairs, but with each step, your height decreases by half. The total distance covered forms a harmonic series.

Divergent Series: A series whose sum approaches infinity as more terms are added.

Convergent Series: A series whose sum approaches a finite value as more terms are added.

Telescoping Series: A series where most terms cancel out when simplified, leaving only a few remaining terms.
