Axis of Revolution
Definition
The axis of revolution is an imaginary line around which a two-dimensional shape rotates to create a three-dimensional object. It serves as the central point for rotation.
Analogy
Imagine a spinning top. The stick that goes through the center of the top and allows it to spin is like the axis of revolution. Just as the spinning top rotates around its axis, a shape can rotate around its axis of revolution to form a solid object.
