Fresco

Definition

Fresco is a painting technique where pigments are applied onto wet plaster, allowing the colors to become embedded in the wall as it dries. It creates a durable and long-lasting artwork.

Analogy

Imagine you're making a sandcastle at the beach. As you build your castle, you pour water on the sand to make it stick together. Similarly, fresco artists apply paint to wet plaster so that it becomes an integral part of the wall, just like wet sand sticking together.
