Annunciation Triptych
Definition
A triptych is an artwork consisting of three panels hinged together. An Annunciation Triptych specifically depicts the biblical event when the angel Gabriel announces to the Virgin Mary that she will conceive and give birth to Jesus. It was a popular subject in Christian art.

An Annunciation Triptych is like a storyboard for a movie. Each panel tells a different part of the story, capturing the moment when Gabriel appears, Mary's reaction, and sometimes additional scenes related to the event.
