The ventral (anterior) cavity is a large body cavity located at the front part of the human body that houses major internal organs such as those in the respiratory, cardiovascular, and digestive systems. It is subdivided into the thoracic cavity and abdominopelvic cavity, each containing vital organs protected by the rib cage and muscular wall respectively.
