The sympathetic chain ganglia are a series of interconnected ganglia located on either side of the spine that are part of the sympathetic nervous system, which controls the body's fight or flight response. These ganglia relay information from the central nervous system to various parts of the body, preparing the body for rapid, involuntary reactions to stress.
