The superficial posterior compartment of the forearm is a group of muscles located on the back side of the forearm, primarily responsible for extending the wrist and fingers. These muscles are innervated by the radial nerve and include the extensor carpi radialis brevis, extensor digitorum, and extensor carpi ulnaris.
