Shaft of the radius

Definition

The shaft of the radius is the long, central part of the radius bone in the forearm, extending from below the head near the elbow to just above the wrist where it widens to form part of the wrist joint. It serves as a major structural component of the forearm, providing attachment sites for muscles and supporting movements of the wrist and hand.
