Sacrospinous ligament

Definition

The sacrospinous ligament is a strong band of fibrous tissue that connects the sacrum, at the base of the spine, to the ischial spine on the pelvis. It plays a crucial role in stabilizing the pelvis by preventing excessive rotation or movement.
