The largest and strongest bone of the face that forms the lower jaw and holds the lower teeth in place.
Inferior alveolar nerve: A branch of the mandibular nerve that passes through the mandibular canal and exits through the mental foramen, supplying sensation to the lower teeth, lip, and chin.
