Definition
The lateral border of the scapula is the thick edge of the scapula (shoulder blade) that runs vertically down the side closest to the arm. It serves as an attachment site for several muscles that move the shoulder and arm.
A flat, triangular bone located on the posterior side of the ribcage that forms part of the shoulder girdle.
