Hyperflexia

Definition

Hyperflexia is an abnormally high ability to flex a joint, often resulting from decreased resistance in muscle tone or neurological abnormalities. It is assessed during the sensory and motor exams of a neurological examination to gauge the integrity of the nervous system.
