Definition

The coracoclavicular ligament is a strong band of fibrous tissue connecting the clavicle (collarbone) to the coracoid process of the scapula (shoulder blade), playing a crucial role in stabilizing the shoulder's pectoral girdle. It consists of two main parts, the trapezoid and conoid ligaments, which help maintain the alignment of these bones under stress.
