Anconeus

Definition

The anconeus is a small triangular muscle located at the posterior aspect of the elbow, which plays a role in extending the forearm and stabilizing the elbow joint. It originates from the lateral epicondyle of the humerus and inserts into the lateral aspect of the ulna.
