Acromion

Definition

The acromion is a bony projection on the scapula (shoulder blade) that forms the highest point of the shoulder and articulates with the clavicle (collarbone) to provide attachment for muscles of the upper arm and chest. It plays a crucial role in shoulder motion and stability.
