Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome is a congenital heart condition characterized by an abnormal electrical pathway in the heart, which leads to episodes of rapid heart rate (tachycardia). This syndrome can disrupt the normal conduction system of the heart, causing the atria and ventricles to beat out of sync. The presence of an extra electrical pathway, known as an accessory pathway, can cause premature contractions and contribute to the development of arrhythmias.
