The Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) is a Rwandan rebel group formed in 2000, largely composed of Hutu exiles and former members of the Armed Forces of Rwanda, which participated in the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. The group has been involved in armed conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), aiming to overthrow the Rwandan government and is linked to various human rights abuses, including massacres and recruitment of child soldiers.
