Sleep Paralysis:A temporary inability to move or speak that occurs when waking up or falling asleep. It is caused by a disconnect between the brain and body, where the body remains paralyzed from REM sleep while the individual is conscious.
Parasomnia: Abnormal behaviors or movements that occur during sleep, such as sleepwalking, sleep talking, and RBD. Parasomnias are disruptive sleep disorders that involve unwanted events or experiences associated with sleep stages or sleep-wake transitions.
