What is a State?

Our world is divided up into different political states based on natural and historical boundaries, but each of the characteristics of each space determines how we define the region. In this session, we’ll break down the differences between states, nations, nation-states, multistate nations, and stateless nations. Each has different characteristics and we’ll show you examples around the world. We'll also talk about the positives and negatives that each state faces based on its organization.
