Intro to American Government, Models of Representative Democracy, Enlightenment Thought - Slides

In the stream we went over the difference between government and politics as well as the functions of government. We then discussed the Enlightenment thinkers Locke, Montesqueiu, and Rosseau and the influence they had on the design of our Ameircan government. Finally, we discussed the types of democracy: participatory, pluralism, and elite.
