If-else if statement

Definition

An if-else if statement is a conditional statement that allows for multiple conditions to be checked sequentially. If the first condition is true, its corresponding block of code executes and the rest of the conditions are skipped. If the first condition is false, then subsequent conditions are checked until either one of them evaluates to true or all conditions have been evaluated.
