Definition
Transverse sinuses are large veins located beneath the brain that collect blood from the brain's back part and transfer it to internal jugular veins. These sinuses are channels that drain venous blood from the brain and cerebellum to the neck.
The cerebellum is a part of the brain at the back of the skull in vertebrates, which coordinates and regulates muscular activity.
