The maxillary bones are a pair of symmetrical bones that form the upper jaw and support the structure of the middle face. They play a crucial role in housing the upper teeth, forming part of the nasal cavity and the floor of the orbit (eye socket).
Also known as cheekbones, these are connected to the maxillary bones and contribute to the eye sockets' outer rim.
