Anterior spinal artery

Definition

The anterior spinal artery is a major blood vessel that runs along the front part of the spinal cord, providing it with necessary oxygen and nutrients. It originates from branches off the vertebral arteries in the neck and extends downwards along the entire length of the spinal cord.
