Gender balance refers to an equal representation or distribution between males and females in a particular setting or population.
Consider M&Ms candies - ideally you'd want an even mix between reds and greens. If you have 50 reds and 50 greens, you've got a perfect gender balance.
Sex Ratio: The number of males per 100 females in the population.
Gender Inequality Index (GII): A measure of the extent of each country's gender inequality.
