The Double V Campaign was a slogan and drive during World War II for both victory in war abroad and victory over racism at home in America.

Analogy

Think of it as trying to win two games simultaneously on different fields - one game is against an external opponent (the Axis powers), while the other game is against an internal opponent (racism).
