Psychosis is a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions lose contact with external reality. It's characterized by delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized thinking.
Imagine you're in a dream where everything seems real but doesn't make sense with the actual world. You can't distinguish between what's part of the dream and what's reality - that's similar to experiencing psychosis.
Psychotic Break: This is an episode where an individual suffers from sudden onset of psychotic symptoms like delusions or hallucinations.
