Definition

An amendment in the Bill Of Rights which sets forth protections for individuals accused of crimes including protection against double jeopardy, self-incrimination, and guarantees the right to a fair trial.

Analogy

The Fifth Amendment is like a protective shield in a video game. It protects you (the player) from being unfairly targeted or punished multiple times for the same action (double jeopardy), from being forced to reveal your secret strategies (self-incincrimination), and ensures you have equal chances of winning (right to a fair trial).
