Unit 2 Overview

Unit 2 explores themes related to how language and culture influence identity in Italian-speaking societies and communities. Other topics could easily be woven into this unit, but the overarching idea is personal and public identities.

Here are some guiding questions to help get your mind thinking for this unit:

  • How does language affect one's identity?

  • What are some different ways you like to greet others?

  • Can one's personal and public identities differ? How?
