Telephone

Definition

The telephone is a communication device invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. It allows for the transmission of voice and sound over long distances.

Analogy

Think of the telephone as a bridge, but instead of connecting two physical places, it connects two people's voices across vast distances. Just like how bridges allow cars to travel from one side of a river to another, telephones allow our voices to travel from one phone to another.
