The Jazz Age was a period during the 1920s characterized by an explosion in jazz music's popularity along with significant social changes. This era marked cultural rebellion against traditional norms and values through its embrace of new styles of music (jazz) dance (Charleston), fashion (flappers), literature (Lost Generation), and social behaviors.
