Allies

Definition

The Allies refers to the countries that fought against the Central Powers in World War I and against the Axis Powers in World War II. In both wars, these included nations like Britain, France, Russia (in WWI), and the United States (joined during both wars).

Analogy

Think of a group project where everyone is working together to achieve a common goal. In this case, the Allies are like your team members who are all trying to get an A on the project by defeating another team (the Central or Axis powers).
