Black Hand
Definition
The Black Hand was a secret Serbian society formed in 1901 with the aim of uniting all territories with majority Serb population not ruled by Serbia. It is best known for being involved in the assassination plot against Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
Analogy
You can think about the Black Hand like an underground club at school that has its own rules and objectives separate from those officially recognized by school authorities. They might even plan pranks or protests without anyone knowing who they are.
