Skewness

Definition

Skewness refers to the asymmetry or lack of symmetry in a distribution. It indicates whether data is concentrated on one side or stretched out on both sides.

Analogy

Imagine a playground seesaw. If all the kids are sitting on one side, it's skewed towards that side. If they're evenly distributed, it's symmetrical.
