Bar Graph

Definition

A bar graph is used to display categorical data using rectangular bars whose lengths represent the frequencies or counts for each category. The categories are usually displayed on the x-axis, while the heights or lengths represent the corresponding frequencies on the y-axis.

Analogy

Imagine you're organizing a school event and you want to know which grade has the most participants. You create a chart where each grade is represented by a bar, and the height of each bar represents the number of students in that grade who signed up. This way, you can easily compare the participation levels between different grades.
