Methodology

Definition

Methodology refers to the overall approach or strategy used in conducting research. It includes decisions about how data will be collected, analyzed, and interpreted to answer research questions or test hypotheses.

Analogy

Think of methodology as a recipe for baking a cake. It outlines the steps you need to follow, the ingredients you'll use, and how you'll measure success (taste-testing!). Just like different recipes produce different cakes, different methodologies lead to different research outcomes.
