Nationalism

Definition

Nationalism is a political ideology that involves a strong identification of a group of individuals with a nation. It is the belief in and devotion to the interests of one's nation often above all other countries.

Analogy

Think of nationalism like being part of a sports team. You wear your team's colors, cheer for them, and feel proud when they win because you identify strongly with them. Just like how fans support their teams, nationalists have intense loyalty and love for their country.
