Majority adopters are individuals who adopt an innovation after a varying degree of time has passed since the innovation was introduced. This time lapse is significantly longer than it was for innovators and early adopters.
Back to our video game scenario - majority adopters are like players who wait until there's a well-established path with clear benefits before they decide to follow it. They're not the first or second to explore, but they eventually get there.
Late Majority: Individuals who adopt an innovation after the average member of society has adopted it.
Laggards: The last group of people to adopt an innovation. They typically have low social status and very little financial lucidity.
Technology Acceptance Model (TAM): A model that explains how users come to accept and use a technology.
