Democracy is a form of government where power rests in the hands of the people who can elect representatives to make decisions on their behalf.
Democracy is like a school election where students vote for their class president. Everyone has an equal say (vote) in deciding who will represent them.
Republicanism: A form of government where power resides in elected individuals representing the citizen body and leaders exercise power according to rule law.
Constitutionalism: The belief that governments should operate according to an agreed set of principles which are usually spelled out in a written constitution.
Pluralism: A condition or system in which multiple groups coexist, share power, and have regular access to policy making.
