Definition

Respondents are individuals who participate in a survey or study by answering questions and providing information. They are the people from whom data is collected and analyzed.

Analogy

Imagine you are conducting a survey on favorite ice cream flavors, and the respondents are like the different flavors themselves. Each respondent adds their unique taste to the overall mix of responses, making it diverse and interesting.
