Public lighting refers to all artificial light sources installed in public spaces such as streets, parks, tunnels or squares to ensure visibility and safety during nighttime hours.
Imagine if your home didn't have any lights. You'd stumble around in the dark! That's what our cities would be like without public lighting - it helps us see where we're going when it's dark out.
Street Lights: These are raised sources of light placed along roadsides or pathways illuminating the road for better visibility at night.
Floodlights: High-intensity artificial lights often used to illuminate outdoor playing fields while an outdoor sports event is being held during low-light conditions.
Lampposts: A post (usually metal) supporting a lamp for street illumination.
